In-Game Auction Drop-Off
Recently I have found it hard to hook up with other players to complete a sale.
If we had an NPC that could "hold" the items until paid for it would save headaches.
I don't mean an in-game auction (that would eliminate this site's auction), but a location to drop off an item, name who is eligible to pick it up, and the minimum amount it can be picked up for (allowing for trades, tips, ectos, etc.).
After the sale was complete the gold would be posted in your account and you would be notified.

/signed, would eliminate finding troubles. This might also help people trade between different districts.

Or implement a Mail system and send the item with a COD on it.

This would be just a 'mail item' system, like in Silk Road.

/ Very Signed
I think I've bought like 3 items and have not been able to meet the person I won them from online. What I really want to know is if any of these ideas actually ever end up implemented in GWs itself or if it is another way for Players to vent their problems.

Waaay too late for this on GW1. GW2, I think this will definitely happen, since it's basically looking like a WoW-clone.

I'm glad you can be so sure what a game is like without seeing any screenshots, reading any reviews, or even any articles on basic gameplay.
*hint hint* Quit making asumptions!
And back to the OP: I would see this as a pretty useful way to move items across accounts, or trading with someone in an awkward timezone so,

A. I have seen screenshots
B. I have read articles
C. I have read Dev Q&A's about it
D. I haven't seen any reviews, obviously, because it hasn't been released yet
E. I'm not making an assumption, more of an educated guess.

GOD I know. I like GW, but I still can't believe that such a nice game has the worst trade system I've ever seen in a MMO. And before you can even get to that guy who says "w8 nty", you have to cut through the ridiculous lowballers who want to buy your perfect high-end weapon for like 20k.
As others have said, /signed for anything that helps the trade system at all.

Yeah, and that in a game that has been described by its own developers as "having no time sinks". Whilst they did a good job with puting a low level cap and implementing map travel, theyve been ignoring the trade system for nearly three years now. I just dont get it, why, why...

/signed,
this would help out so much!
I don't know about the rest of you, but I came over from Everquest and the trading system there is a lot better.
You can leave your character on all night in a designated "Selling" zone/area where players can click on you like a Trader. You just price your items, and with a item lookup people can find the items they need/you're selling by Name.
Not only that, but it would be so beneficial to getting correct information on prices for items, especially Materials which, for the LIFE of me I CAN NOT ever find a !@#$% Guide on........ -End rant

Only if the item is delivered if the person selling w/e drops of the item and the buyer drops of the cash.

If they could do this they could do an in-game auction house. And that is not stepping on guru auction toes because some things just cant be sold in an auction house, as in specially modded weapons and items.
